Organic chemistry book RK Gupta Review

After using this book thoroughly for couple of years of my JEE preparation, I can give a good review of this book.

Why should I buy an Organic Chemistry book?
According to the previous years' JEE chemistry papers, Organic Chemistry holds 40% to 45% weightage. That means around 10 to 15 questions. Also Chemistry syllabus for JEE Advanced is more than the normal NCERT textbook. So it becomes necessary to have a good book at par with JEE syllabus.
Why should I buy this book?
To master basic concepts of Organic Chemistry. It has both theory and practice problems with well detailed solutions. You will also learn the best approach for solving organic chemistry problems.
Binding:
The book is published by Arihant Prakashan which is very common publisher of study materials. The book has over 1120 pages and is neatly binded weighing over 1 kg. Overall, the book looks tough and can last years if used properly.

Contents:
The book is precisely made for JEE aspirants and very briefly covers all topics of Organic Chemistry in line with the syllabus of JEE Mains as well as Advanced. The appendix of book mentioned following topics:

Theory and Explanations:
The book packs good amount of theory for each topic followed by topical tests i.e Short tests for the given topic. The theory is made easy to learn and understand for average aspirants and has very good explanations for both basic as well as difficult concepts. In short, you can master Organic Chemistry if you are thorough with this book.
Important Chapters like Isomerism, Mechanism of Organic Reactions, Aromatic Compounds are detailed and easy to understand. Other topics like Alkanes, Aldehydes and Ketones, etc are too explained well. Every chemical reaction is explained by proper mechanism and also through isomerism perspective. But you may find some topics like 'Nomenclature' quite confusing. NCERT can come at rescue.
Practice Questions and Answers:
It contains two levels of Problems for each topic at the end of the respective chapters. Also the Answers to the questions are very well explained without skipping anything like the other books do. Problems are designed based on IIT JEE pattern.
Topical tests for better understanding of theoretical concepts.
But you will always prefer topical tests for quick understanding of topics.
Practice Question Papers:
Past year chemistry papers are also added but limited to five. It also has 10 pages of Question Bank or Miscellaneous Problems as mentioned in the book. The level of problems also looks good.
Overall, the book is perfectly fine for JEE Mains and Advanced aspirants. Medical aspirants can also very well use this book. The book costs around ₹800 with price fluctuating on online shopping sites.
The other books you can choose are 'GRB Advanced problems in Organic Chemistry', 'Balaji Publications', etc.
Compared to the other Organic Chemistry books and price, this book is much better. I would definitely recommend to go for it.
